Abstract

The objectives of the experiment were (1) to determine the effect of NPK Mutiara Grower fertilizer and Floraone biofertilizer as well as their interaction on growth and yield of cauliflower PM 3000 F1 variety; and (2) to identify the appropriate dose of Mutiara Grower NPK fertilizer and concentration of Floraone biofertilizer for improving growth and yield of cauliflower. The experiment was conducted from January to March 2025 at Batu Cermin Street, RT 05, Sempaja Utara, North Samarinda, Samarinda City, East Kalimantan Province. A 4 x 4 factorial experiment was arranged in a completely randomised design (CRD) with four replications, giving 64 experimental units. The first factor was the dose of NPK Mutiara Grower fertilizer (N): no NPK Mutiara Grower fertilizer (n0), 100 kg ha1 or 0.90 g polybag1 (n1), 200 kg ha1 or 1.18 g polybag1 (n2), and 300 kg ha⁻¹ or 2.70 g polybag⁻¹ (n3). The second factor was the concentration of Floraone biofertilizer (H): no Floraone biofertilizer (h0), 5 mL L-1 water (h1), 10 mL L-1 water (h2), and 15 mL L-1 water (h3). The results showed that (1) NPK Mutiara Grower fertilizer had significant to highly significant effects on plant height and leaf number at 30 and 45 days after planting, curd diameter, and curd weight per plant; the highest curd weight was obtained with 2.70 g polybag-1 (n3), at 246.56 g plant-1, whereas the lowest was recorded without NPK Mutiara Grower fertilizer (n0), at 235.63 g plant-1; (2) Floraone biofertilizer had significant to highly significant effects on plant height at 45 days after planting, leaf number at 30 and 45 days after planting, age at curd formation, and curd weight per plant; the highest curd weight was obtained with 15 mL L-1 water (h3), at 246.06 g plant-1, whereas the lowest was recorded without Floraone biofertilizer (h0), at 238.75 g plant-i; and (3) the interaction between the treatments had no significant effect on plant height or leaf number at 15, 30, and 45 days after planting, age at curd formation, age at harvest, curd diameter, or curd weight per plant.
